Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Jefferson City Council will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Transportation Center at 305 E. Austin Street, Jefferson, Texas, at which time the subjects to be considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the order shown on the meeting notice. Unless removed from the consent agenda, items identified with the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

Public Comments –
- Public Comments will only be taken during the Public Comments section of the agenda.

- On a subject that is not on the agenda, a person may request to add an item to a future City Council Agenda by contacting City Hall. The deadline for the request to be placed on an agenda for consideration must be received with all corresponding documents by 5pm the Wednesday before the regularly scheduled meeting.
- While civil public criticism is not prohibited; disorderly conduct or disturbance of the peace as prohibited by law shall be cause for the chair to terminate the offender’s time to speak.

c. Discuss, consider, and/or approve asking the City Attorney to amend the Ordinance and Job Description with City Council input, related to the employment of a City Administrator.
d. Discuss, consider, and/or approve asking the City Attorney to amend the ordinance or draw up a new one that would limit all pre manufactured housing to the areas that have been previously approved for mobile homes.

Discuss, consider, and/or approve Ordinance 2024-11-1 ABANDONING VACATING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF LOCUST STREET, OWENS STREET, TAYLOR STREET, AND PORTIONS OF 12 FOOT ALLEYWAYS IN BLOCK NUMBERS 10, 11 AND 28 OF THE ALLEY ADDITION; RETAINING PORTIONS OF THE EASEMENT AS UTILITY AND DRAINAGE EASEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE ABANDONMENT; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
m. Discuss, consider, and/or approve Deed Without Warranty for the abandoned and closed portion of Owens Street, Locust Street & Tayor Street and portions of the alleys located in Block numbers 10, 11, and 28 of the Alley Addition, in the City of Jefferson.
n. Discuss, consider, and/or approve reestablishing water service at city buildings on Austin St. and Polk St.

q. Discuss, consider, and/or approve the contract between Bart Varnell Lawn Care Service and the City of Jefferson for mowing of City Property and authorizing the Mayor to sign the contract on behalf of the city.
r. Discuss, consider, and/or approve the contract between Bart Varnell Lawn Care Service and the City of Jefferson for mowing of Cemetery Properties and authorizing the Mayor to sign the contract on behalf of the city.
