PUBLIC HEARING ON 2024-2025 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET

The City of Jefferson will conduct a public hearing for the proposed operating budget for fiscal year 2024-2025 on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 6:30 pm. The adoption of the ordinance approving the budget will be immediately following the close of the public hearing on the proposed budget. The meeting will take place at 305 E. Austin St., Jefferson, Texas 75657.
THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE MORE TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR’S BUDGET BY $15,133 OR 1.73%, AND OF THAT AMOUNT, $19,327 IS TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR.
