Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Jefferson City Planning and Zoning Commission will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 5:00 PM at the Transportation Center at 305 E. Austin Street, Jefferson, Texas, at which time the subjects to be considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the order shown on the meeting notice. Unless removed from the consent agenda, items identified with the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

Public Comments – Must sign up in advance on the list and must limit to 3 minutes conversation. Jefferson City Planning and Zoning Commission may ask questions but shall not discuss items that are not on the agenda. On a subject that is not on the agenda a person may add an item to a future Planning and Zoning Commission Agenda by contacting City Hall a minimum of 5 days prior to a regular Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting
5. CONSENT ITEMS
a. Consider and/or approve the minutes of the September 5 Regular Meeting.
b. Consider and/or approve the minutes of the September 11 Special Meeting.
c. Consider and/or approve the minutes of the October 5 Special Meeting.
d. Consider and/or approve the summary in lieu of minutes, Public Hearing November 2.
6. ACTION ITEM
a. Consider and/ or approve the pending proposal to the City Council concerning Proposed Designation and Creation of an Historic District.
b. Consider and /or approve the revisions to Zoning Ordinance Article 1 Sections 1-10.
7. DISCUSSION ITEM
a. Discuss letter from George and Michele Otstott as to process for future consideration.
8. WORKSHOP
There will be no action taken during the workshop. This agenda item is for a workshop to open the floor for discussion on the topics listed below. There will be no action taken on approving the discussion topics contained within the workshop at this time. Items may be placed on a future agenda for possible action at a later date.
a. Continuation of prior meeting discussions of the draft of city of Jefferson Zoning Regulations (printed April 15, 2003) Article I, Sections 1-10 and Article II, Sections 1-3.
9. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Jefferson Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the Course of the meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized by the Texas Government Code.
