Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Jefferson City Council will be held on May 18, 2021 at 6:00 PM at the Transportation Center at 305 E. Austin Street, Jefferson, Texas, at which time the subjects to be considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the order shown on the meeting notice. Unless removed from the consent agenda, items identified with the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

Public Comments – Limited to citizens and business owners of the City of Jefferson, must sign up in advance on the list and must limit to 3 minutes conversation. Jefferson City Council may ask questions but shall not discuss items that are not on the agenda. On a subject that is not on the agenda a person may add an item to a future City Council Agenda by contacting City Hall a minimum of 5 days prior to a regular City Council Meeting

l. Discuss and take action to adopt/reaffirm Civil Rights Resolution, CP Plan, Section 3 Policy, Excessive Force Policy, 504 Policy and Grievance Procedures, Code of Conduct Policy, LEP Plan and Fair Housing Policy as required by TxCDBG #7220211 and approve civil rights/fair housing ads for publication.
m. Discuss and consider Resolution Authorizing Signatories for TxCDBG #7220211.
n. Consider and/or reaffirm Marion County Commissioner Court’s appointment of Mayor Rob Baker to be the City representative for ETCOG taking the place of former Alderman Victor Perot

a. Discuss/consider and/or approve pay for Judge, Alternate Judge and Clerks for the
Special Election
b. Consider and/or approve a Special Event Application for the 39th Candlelight Tour of
Homes for December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, & 11, 2021
c. Consider and/or approve a Special Event Application
for Pioneer Days Celebration for September 4-5, 2021
c. Consider and/or approve allowing Troy Hines to construct 10 parking spaces on a site
at 109 N. Alley
d. Consider and/or approve Marion Central Appraisal District 2022 Operating Budget
e. Consider and/or approve Petition, Resolution and Deed without Warranty to declare a
portion of South Willard Street in Block 87 in the Alley Addition abandoned and closed
and to convey it to the adjoining property owner
f. Consider and/or approve employment contract for Eric Kuykendall as City Administrator
g. Consider and/or approve Council candidates to fill role as Mayor Pro Tem

8. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Jefferson City Council reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time
during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized
by Texas Government Code.
