Notice is hereby given that a regular Meeting of the Jefferson City Council will be held on September 19, 2017 at 5:30 PM at the Jefferson City Hall located at 102 N. Polk St., Jefferson, Texas, at which time the subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the order shown on the meeting notice. Unless removed for the consent agenda, items identified with the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

Public Comments – Limited to citizens and business owners of the City of Jefferson, must sign up in advance on the list located near the door of the Council Chambers and must limit to 3 minute conversation. Jefferson City Council may ask questions but shall not discuss items that are not on the agenda. On a subject that is not posted on the agenda a person may add an item to a future City Council Agenda by contacting the City Administrator a minimum of 5 days prior to a regular City Council meeting.
PRESENT PROCLAMATIONS FOR DECLARING OCTOBER AS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARNESS MONTH
5. CONSENT AGENDA
(City Council reserves the right to remove items from the Consent Agenda and consider and/or approve individually)
a) Consider and/or Approve Council Meeting Minutes from August, 2017
b) Consider and/or Approve Monthly Financial Report
6. ACTION ITEMS
a) Discuss/Consider and/or Approve improvements to the City Park
b) Consider and/or Approve a 20 year extension on the Mutual Use Agreement and Easement Agreements between the City of Jefferson and DBR Entertainment, Inc.
c) Consider and/or Approve Bid for Fuel Contracting with City of Jefferson
d) Consider and/or Approve authority to solicit bids for Cedarwood North Section 3 Part Lot 26 – ID# 39743
e) Consider and/or Approve bid for Suit T01920 Parcel 19612 – Urquhart Addition BLK 136 Lot 7 received bid from Azarel Outreach Inc. in the amount of $300.00. This property was taken to tax sale in July, 2008 and struck off to City of Jefferson with an opening bid of $900.00. Due to the length of time that this property has been struck off, Tax Assessor believes it to be in the best interest of the taxing jurisdictions to get it back on the tax roll. (Tax Assessor recommendation that this bid be approved.)
f) Consider and/or Approve bid for Suit T02132 Parcel 18521 – Brooks Addition BLK 2 Lot 7 received FULL bid from Azarel Outreach Inc. in the amount of $260.00. This property was taken to tax sale in July, 2013 and struck off to City of Jefferson with an opening bid of $259.73. Due to the fact this is a full bid; the council only needs to approve the Mayor to sign the deed.
g) Consider and/or Approve Ordinance # 2017-09-19 adopting the 2017-2018 City of Jefferson Annual Budget
h) Consider and/or approve Ordinance #2017-09-02 adopting the City of Jefferson Property Tax Rate of 0.445000.
7. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Jefferson City Council reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized by Texas Government Code;
